Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) enables precise fabrication of metallic specimens through controlled electrical discharges. Micro-EDM is used to prepare smooth-edged micro-scale dogbone samples for reliable mechanical testing.

I used EDM to fabricate metallic specimens with precise geometry and minimal mechanical deformation. EDM processing enabled preparation of samples from hard or limited-volume materials. Careful finishing minimized surface damage prior to testing.
I employed wire EDM to produce micro-scale dogbone specimens for tensile testing. The technique enabled accurate control of gauge dimensions and repeatable specimen preparation. EDM was critical for testing small-scale alloy samples.
